The Power of Connections – As we step into 2025, we’re taking a moment to reflect on a truly special project that marked the tail end of 2024: an animation we produced for the Primrose Foundation’s LOVE campaign. This inspiring initiative highlights the importance of self-checks for early detection of breast cancer, using the acronym LOVE:

  • Look for lumps or bumps.
  • Observe differences.
  • Voice concerns to a medical expert.
  • Echo the message to family and friends.

The LOVE campaign isn’t just about health—it’s about empowerment, self-love, and saving lives through early detection and taking proactive steps to safeguard our health. For us at Pushed, creating this animation was not only a privilege but a chance to amplify this vital message from the Primrose Foundation.

Bringing Big Voices to a Big Cause

The Primrose Foundation, a local breast care charity based at University Hospitals Plymouth, has been a cornerstone of support for those affected by breast cancer across the South West. During the animation’s creation, a throwaway comment about the perfect voices for the campaign—local treasures Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders—seemed like an unattainable dream. But networking magic and collaboration had other plans!

Enter Fresh Air Studios, a creative production agency based in Plymouth, known for its work in audio and video content production. Fresh Air Studios has over 25 years of experience delivering innovative media solutions, including professional podcasts, on-hold messaging systems, and voiceover recordings for renowned brands. Their expertise in the world of audio production has connected them with a wealth of talented individuals, including the iconic Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders.

When Fresh Air Studios heard about the LOVE campaign, they knew it was a cause worth championing. Through their established relationships, the script for the animation found its way to Dawn and Jennifer, who wholeheartedly embraced the project. Their support, combined with the collaborative efforts of Fresh Air Studios, helped transform the campaign from inspiring to truly unforgettable.
